I love being an artist, it is such a privilege to study nature and people, to see and fully appreciate the wonder of who and where we are.
I passionately believe the most important part to a painted portrait are the sittings, this is the only way to achieve the character, personality, likeness and life of the painting.
LINDY'S TESTIMONIALS
Sitting for a portrait by Lindy, Alexandria's experience
“Contrary to any doubts I had about sitting for a portrait (would it be boring? Would I be able to sit for so long?
Would I feel comfortable with a stranger staring at me?) the experience was a complete pleasure.
Lindy is a delight and makes the whole process entirely relaxing and great fun. She immediately put me at my ease, placed a delicious coffee in my hands and turned the playlist on. The ensuing couple of hours passed in a flash, helped along by good chats, quiet contemplation and lots of laughs!
At the end of the session, I came away feeling light hearted and ready to face the day.
I would recommend it to anyone”.
I have received many portrait commissions the largest being a group of 30, which was unveiled by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2015.
